Book Review Of Blood Moon (The Moonlight Trilogy Book #1) By Teri Harman

Willa and Simon's lives are tainted by strangeness. Willa's best friend is a ghost and she dreams of true events. Simon can heal any wound with the touch of his hand and senses other's emotions, intentions. For all their lives they've been alone in these bizarre abilities, hiding behind a facade of normalcy, but the night Simon walks into the Twelve Acres Diner and meets Willa face to face, in a swirl of electric heat, they realize there is something magical about who they are and what they can do.

Across town a witch is held prisoner in the derelict basement of an old Victorian house. One night, as it rains, she dares to reach her filthy, scared hand out the window, at the same moment that Willa walks by. After a daring rescue of the witch, Willa and Simon are catapulted into the alluring but dangerous world of witchcraft. Now the couple must make a choice: Join the True Covens and fight a Dark witch hungry for their destruction or walk away, turning their back on their Gifts and who they really are.

Teri Harman's groundbreaking debut novel, the first installment in The Moonlight Trilogy, completely reinvents the modern concept of witches and magic. With its authentic translation of the history of witches into a fresh and entertaining package with unprecedented characterization, Blood Moon is sure to capture readers from the first page.

My Take On This Book:

Willa has been able to see ghosts from a very young age and dreams of true events her best friend Solace is a ghost whom she meant at the Museum where she volunteers. Simon has the gift of healing people with just a touch and has the ability to sense others emotions and intentions. Simon started his new job at the diner as a cook where Willa works, and the sparks literally began to fly between the two when he walked through the door.

When Simon touched her shoulder Willa immediately felt the heat, but at the time they did not realize what was happening to either one of them, they just knew whatever it was it felt wonderful and they felt connected to each other for whatever reason. Willa’s boss sent her home because she said she was burning up with fever, and then the strangest thing happened, the further away from Simon the fever began to subside.

This was an awesome young adult paranormal book; I enjoyed this advanced reading copy immensely. I do not want to give away any more than I already have so I will end my review with my advice which is to pick this book up you will not regret it. I would like to thank Teri Harman & Kirk from Jolly Fish Press for giving me the opportunity to read and review Teri's debut Blood Moon ~ The Moonlight Trilogy Book #1.
