Waiting For Morning By Karen Kingsbury

Overview

“I’m afraid there’s been a car accident...”

As Hannah Ryan waits for her family to return home from a camping trip, she realizes she has everything going for her—a husband other women admire, two charming teenage daughters, and a loving Christian home. As the sunny afternoon turns into twilight, her uneasiness grows along with the shadows. Then a car pulls into Hannah’s driveway, bringing two police officers...and devastating news that shatters her life forever.

In the days that follow, Hannah struggles with unspeakable feelings of sorrow and rage—feelings that fuse into one chilling purpose for living: revenge against Brian Wesley, the drunk driver who has caused all her pain.

In her fury, Hannah shuts the Lord out of her life. She’s determined not to forgive Wesley or the God who allowed this tragedy to happen. Can two caring people help Hannah rediscover her faith...before bitterness destroys her?

My Review:

I loved this book! Once I started reading it, I couldn't put it down. I found this book to be heartbreaking, but yet very inspiring. People take so many things for granted. This book shows that anything and anyone at any given moment can be taken away. Nobody can imagine how they would truly react if they were faced with a tragedy like the one in this book, but I do, I did not have a family die in a car accident but I lost two brothers to suicide witin a week of each other, and I did blame God, "how could You do this to me?" It was a very horrific time in my life and I do not talk about it much because i still strugle today with it.

I highly recommend this book to everyone, no matter what your religious status is. You will not regret reading it at ll, this would be grea for teens as well.

I received this book free from the publisher through the Waterbrook Press book review bloggers program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
